MAC Breathing Fire Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches: Hello Guys. After reviewing so many Mac lipsticks here on MBF, I am back with another lipstick review of Mac from their Matte lipstick collection. I really like their Matte lipsticks rather than satin or Amplified finishes as compared to them matte ones are more pigmented and long lasting as well.
Pink Pigeon Birds
I own a lot of Mac lipsticks as they have array of shades to choose from and also for every skin tone. The shade I am reviewing today comes in a pink category which they named as Mac Matte Lipstick in the shade Breathing Fire.
The shade is actually not that old as I have not heard about this shade before so this was the major reason I bought this shade also the name attracted me. To know more about this shade called Breathing Fire keep on reading my views below.

In Detail MAC Breathing Fire Matte Lipstick Review, Swatches and My Experience
The Mac matte lipstick breathing fire as usual comes in its standard black colored rectangle shaped cardboard box with few information related to the lipsticks printed on it. The actual lipstick has a shinny black colored bullet which has a silver twister and has a round top cap which closes with a shut.
The shade name and number is printed on the bottom of the lipsticks which makes it easy to locate the shade in the box. The packaging of the lipstick in its self looks and feels very luxurious, good quality as well as sturdy. Hence can be carried along without any fear.
It has a very mild vanilla fragrance which isn’t over powering. Though the smell vanishes very quickly.
Mac describes the shade Breathing Fire a bright warm fuschia which is very true. If you are between Nc42 to Nc 45 and the shade Candy Yum Yum and Pink Pigeon washes you out like me than you should definitely give this shade a shot.
I really loved this shade and also enjoy wearing it especially at night time and in day. I just dab it a little on my lips to get that perfect barbie pink kind of a stain. This shade has more sort of a warm pink undertone than that of Pink pigeon. But if you are more darker than Mc45 than it may wash you out.
The finish is matte and the texture is so smooth. I don’t feel any pulling or tugging on my lips while applying the lipstick. As the lipstick is matte so application of lip balm prior applying the lipstick is suggested for extremely dry lips. And proper exfoliation is must before applying this lipstick else one will end up with flaky lips.
I don’t have flaky lips so I don’t feel a need to apply lip balm. I directly apply it and than dab it with my fingers a bit to tone down the brightness.
The shade is really beautiful & pigmented. It is opaque in two swipes and there is no need to apply it again and again. Also the color is perfect to wear as a stain for a day time no makeup look.
It stays on my lips for about 4 hours with light meals. I did not seen any feathering or smudging whatsoever. In fact it fades evenly and on fading it leaves a beautiful light pink tinge on lips which looks so good and natural.
Being a matte lipstick it doesn’t settles into my fine lines as well. Removing it is also easy it just comes off with a wet wipes and does not consume a lot of time.

Always apply a lip liner before applying a lipstick to get that perfect looking pout. Also defining your lips provides even and precise application of lipstick.
Exfoliate lips and apply a good lip balm do rest of your makeup and than wipe the extra lip balm with a tissue and than apply a lipstick.

I didn't check the lipliners, but here's a look at the swatches of the lipsticks in this collection.
